In Math we are wrapping up our unit on Data Analysis and Probability. Data Analysis had a focus on misleading graphs and students completed an assignment at the end of that chapter. Probability is what we have worked on for the last week and a half. We started by playing some games to test out experimental probability and whether a game was fair or not. Students have now moved on to working out probability of two or more events. Both theoretically and experimentally. Attached below is the key to the Probability Review that was handed out today.

Apologies for not updating the blog much in January. Students completed the Body Systems Project. Students did a great job on the visuals, the presentation and the doctor's panel. Students also displayed some great collaboration with their group members in order to be successful.
To finish off the unit students researched and presented the History of Public Health and presented one major era in the history of time. There were some great presentations with the themes of sanitation, pathogen/antibiotic relationship and vaccines being prominent.
we wrapped the unit up with a heart rate activity and students learned about resting heart rate and active heart rate. How to find your heart rate and what heart rate is optimal during exercise and how heart rates change for highly trained athletes.
