Language Arts - Students read "On the Sidewalk Bleeding" today and linked it thematically and narratively to "The Outsiders". Some classes began looking at the final assignment for "The Outsiders", a written sequel in the form of a script. All students will begin on Monday.
Social Studies - Today students continued to work on their Greatest Renaissance Duo project. At this point students should have come up with the criteria for why their Renaissance person is the greatest (ex. inventor, believed in eduction, spread ideas, etc) and chosen a Modern Day Renaissance equivalent. Over the weekend students should continue to compile information so that they are ready to create their visual or monologues on Monday.
Information to be part of presentation:
- Achievements of both people
- How their chosen people fit the criteria
- How their chosen people are equivalent
- How their chosen people have impacted the world.
