Language Arts - In LA today we worked on some of the vocabulary that was introduced in the short story by Ray Bradbury entitled, "All Summer in a Day". The classes played grudge ball as we went over some new vocabulary terms. Students were also put into groups of 3 today and will be working on a Vocabulary Map based on one of the vocabulary terms that were in the story in tomorrow LA class.
Social Studies - In Social Studies today we introduced My Canadian Worldview Research and Written Reflection Assignment. Students received a handout that explained the assignment and has been uploaded onto D2L. Students are expected to pick one Canadian Worldview that most resonates with them, research this worldview and then write a short reflection complete with a proper bibliography. Students were given time to research today and we expect research to be completed for class tomorrow as they should begin writing their reflection in class tomorrow and will also have Thursday's class to continue working on their writing. The assignment is due on Monday, September 25.
