Above: In Hum today we did an example of the *Evidence Chart that students will be putting into their visual journal, to support the theme they identified from, "All Summer in a Day."
Apologies that Ms. Rishaug's printing resembles that of a bear learning to write. It has long plagued her life, but is something she will have to live with. Once in Grade 6, she changed her printing for about a month, to mirror the very neat writing of Gary who sat one aisle over. Alas, she was unable to keep it up, as it just didn't come naturally. She tries her best though, and that's truly what matters.
Language Arts - We continued working on the theme for, "All Summer in a Day" today. We took yesterday's sentence frames and turned them into a properly worded theme. Students were given a handout (found on D2L), which thoroughly explains an evidence chart* and visual that they will be putting into their visual journal. Students will have 1 period on Wednesday and 1 period on Thursday to complete this work. It will be due on Monday, October 2nd.
