Above - As many students discussed, Canada's geography (one of the 7 elements of Worldviews) impacts us greatly because of our northern climate.
LA - In LA students were given a handout about plot diagrams (found on D2L if anyone lost theirs or needs an extra copy). Plot diagrams were modeled with the story Cinderella. Afterwards, students were given time yesterday and today to complete their own detailed plot diagram for the short story, "The Transformations of Cindy R." We will be reviewing this homework in class on Thursday, and so students must ensure that it is completed in for homework if they were unable to do so in the class time given.
SS - Now that we have reviewed the 7 different elements of Worldviews, and we have reviewed some important Canadian Worldviews, it is time to mix the two concepts. Students will be completing webs or mind maps for each of the 7 elements, and explaining how each element impacts us as Canadians. In class we reviewed this extensively, and several examples were completed. The written instructions can be found on D2L.
*All Grade 8 students are now signed up for D2L.
Students will need to use their regular CBE username and password that they use for technology at Nose Creek School.
