Welcome back students!
This week in math we covered the necessary vocabulary, definitions, facts, and visual representations associated with circle, line, double line, bar, double bar, and pictographs. We also discussed trends in data, intervals of data, and distortions of data.
Please see the notes below and copy of the template for your assignment. The assignment was started in class Thursday and finished by most on Friday. It is due for discussion on Monday, January 15th.
Next week: Students need to bring their Practice Booklets to Class.
Students will need to bring a protractor to class for graphing practice, assignments, and tests please!
All graded assignments to date have been handed back to students.
All students received their graded Fractions Unit Exam yesterday and need to return it with a parent's/guardian's signature this week.

Wednesday - Marking unit exam and return of all graded work to date
Thursday - Last day to advocate for additional marks on your Fractions Unit Exam

To assist you, please find some of the class notes below. You have been provided with three sets of practice sheets already and should have completed those percent, fraction, decimal, rate, and ratio problems already.
Tomorrow (Thursday, December 14) will be practice work on problems and calculations for this unit.
Monday's class (December 18th) will incorporate more practice and review time.
Students will have practice work for the weekend!
In addition, we are currently marking the Fractions Unit Test and hope to have those marks in some time next week.
Today we began a new unit in math: Percent, Rate, Ratio, and Proportion. We began by covering percents and conversions between percent, fractions, and decimals. Please see below for a copy of today's notes.
Tomorrow we will be practicing what we learned. Students will begin this work in class and will be expected to finish that practice over the weekend at home.
Thursday is our Fractions Unit Exam and Friday is a non-instructional day. This will be the last post for the week.
