We have started our Fractions Review. Students should be familiar with the following math vocabulary: Numerator, Denominator, Proper Fraction, Improper Fraction and Mixed Number. Some students have completed addition and subtraction of Fraction but for our review we have used fraction strips to visually add and subtract fractions and well as looking at mixed fractions and improper fractions. Today, students in 8E/8B reviewed how to convert Improper Fractions in Mixed Numbers. The following exercises were given in class and students are to continue working on the questions if they need to. If any student needs a refresher. This video tutorial will go over the process again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xuf6ZKF1_I Upcoming Dates:Thursday, Sept 20 - Meet the Teacher NightFriday, Sept 21 - PD Day, No school for students
