PARENTS/GUARDIANS: All students were provided with a Student Summary of Mathematics Marks on Monday of this week (later if absent). They are expected to obtain a parent/guardian's signature and return these summaries to us no later than Monday, January 29th.
This Week in Mathematics:
This we we investigated how to create circle graphs and how to avoid producing graphs that misrepresent data. We also learned some of the techniques that might be used by others to misrepresent data provided in various graphical formats.
Please see the previous post (last week's post) for the notes and assignments if you missed class or lost your materials.
Below is the Pizza Pie Graphs assignment that we began in class on Thursday. Please complete this using the data provided in each separate class (which you can get from a peer). The calculations and proper graphs are due Monday, January 29th.
Next Week in Mathematics:
Next week we will complete our investigations into producing circle graphs and begin the final topic in this unit; probabilities.
