TOPIC: Adding and Subtracting Integers (Gr7) - continued
TODAY: Factors/GCF/LCM Assignment #1 COLLECTED YESTERDAY! You started working on this last Wednesday. If you did not hand in a completed assignment today or yesterday (the due date) it is "late" and you must get your parent/guardian to sign it before it will be accepted by your teachers. **You have an additional 2 days to complete and submit this assignment (W, Th) with a parent/guardian signature. Please refer to the Gr8 Course Overview that is posted on the Homepage of the Gr8 Blog for details on course expectations.
Today we reviewed how to solve a subtraction question by drawing models using tiles (concrete). This allowed us to "see" the pattern that then helped us develop the algorithm or rule or shortcut (abstract) for subtracting integers.
PRACTICE PROBLEMS: Yes, we really are assigning the following as homework:
(i) read the Gr8 Blog (all of it!) to get familiar with the format
(ii) read the Gr8 Overview
(iii) sign into D2L / Brightspace to make sure you can and to make sure you know how to navigate it
