Students are working on their Aztec Children's Stories that they are preparing for their grade 4 buddy. They started off last week interviewing a partner in Mr. Baker's class, and are now trying to incorporate the things their buddy likes in a children's story. This has been a challenging task design as the 8's still need to incorporate much of the Aztec culture and make it authentic. These stories are due on Tuesday, February 19th and will be shared with the 4's later during the week!
The literacy circles have now had their first group meeting where some great discussions were generated from the first week's leader. Roles have changed for the second week and students have continued reading independently as well as out loud in their groups. The next meeting will be Friday, February 22nd.
