Above: I personally find annotating an article to be thrilling, and I love the look of an article or text that has been annotated. I do realize however, that I may be alone in this thinking. That's OK, you still have to do the assignment.
LA - During our Literacy Circle reading time this week, A Groups read in their groups on Wednesday, and B Groups will read in their groups on Thursday.
A reminder that our next Literacy Circle Meeting is on Friday, and each student needs to have their work completed for this week's role.
All students need to be returning any books they have signed out on a regular basis in the morning before classes begin.
SS - Students were given an article on the Aztecs and Spanish entitled, "Setting Up a Colony". Over the course of Wednesday and Thursday, students are reading it carefully and deeply, and annotating the article as per the instructions on the actual article. Students who wished to work independently on this task were given the opportunity to do so; those who preferred to work in a group with me were given this choice.
I have copies of this article if anyone was absent.
This article once completed, will go in the Interactive Notebook.
