Today we covered the topic of Buoyancy in class today. As a wrap up activity students were given a piece of tin foil and in partners they designed and named a boat that would withstand the most mass before sinking. Attached is the powerpoint that we went over in class.
Students were given the period to work on the second set of Density Problems II. They are due tomorrow as we will be marking these in class. Attached below is the assignment.
We have gone over the density problems in class together. Students were able to see how they are doing, make corrections and ask any questions that they may still have. On Monday students are expected to come to class with a calculator as we will be doing more problem solving with density. Students will also be using their 3-D density triangle that we made earlier this week and the density table we used with the problems this week. For anyone who was away or needs to double check the key to the density problems done this week is attached below.
